The Atlas Air Force AF9 is a 7.5 HP, two-stage air compressor designed for professional shops with sustained compressed-air demand. Its three-cylinder, belt-driven pump runs at a low 1,740 RPM and delivers 23 CFM at 90 PSI and 20 CFM at 175 PSI. Air is stored in an 80-gallon USA-made vertical steel tank, providing reserve capacity for impact wrenches, sanders, spray equipment, and other pneumatic tools. The unit operates on 220V single-phase power and requires a 40-amp breaker with #8 wire.

The AF9 combines low-RPM operation with controls and features intended for daily shop use. An Eaton magnetic starter manages electrical input to the motor, while a Hubbell industrial pressure switch controls cut-in and cut-out. The finned tank-inlet tube helps reduce moisture accumulation inside the tank, and the heavy-duty metal belt guard covers the drive components. Included vibration-isolation pads help reduce vibration and noise transferred to the floor. For routine service, a hands-free tank-drain extension provides easier access to the drain, while the oil-drain extension tube simplifies compressor oil changes.

With its 23 CFM output and 80-gallon storage capacity, the AF9 is suited to multi-bay automotive shops, professional garages, and service facilities that depend on compressed air throughout the workday. Its 71" height and 40" width give the vertical tank a relatively compact footprint for positioning along a shop wall. The low operating speed and belt-driven design also help limit operating noise during extended use.
