The Atlas Platinum PTC600 tire changer is a tilt-back, rim-clamp machine built for professional tire shops and dealership service departments that regularly handle low-profile, run-flat, and oversized tires. It combines a pneumatic tilt-back column with a high-torque 110V electric turntable, giving technicians more control and stability when working on stiff or expensive wheel/tire assemblies. Note: it requires an external air supply (120–145 PSI) and ships via freight (53’ truck access required), with some assembly needed after delivery.

What makes the PTC600 stand out is its tilt-back locking head system paired with a dedicated assist arm setup. The pneumatic tilt-back column locks the mount/demount head firmly in position during operation, reducing head movement and helping prevent rim damage during high-tension mounting jobs. The right-hand bead pressing and bead rolling assist arm is standard, which is especially useful for run-flats and low-profile tires, where consistent bead control is critical. This setup reduces the need for manual leverage and keeps the bead seated while the turntable rotates.

The machine is built around a heavy-duty core system that includes an anodized aluminum bead breaker cylinder, air-operated jaws, and an integrated bead-blast system to improve seating on difficult tires. A metal mount/demount head with replaceable plastic inserts helps protect alloy wheels during repeated use, while the included FRL air prep system, inflator gauge box, tire tools, lube bucket, brush, and protective accessories ensure the machine is ready for daily shop operation. Replacement parts and wear items are stocked, supporting long-term serviceability.

This model is best suited for high-volume tire shops, dealerships, and professional automotive service centers that need a more rigid, controlled tire changing platform for modern wheel designs and want to reduce operator strain while improving consistency and rim protection.
