The Triumph NTB-550 is a computer wheel balancer designed for tire shops, automotive service centers, and mobile technicians who need fast, accurate balancing for passenger-car and light-truck wheels. Supporting wheels from 10" to 28" with ±1 gram accuracy and a 6–9 second cycle time, it helps keep tire service moving efficiently during high-volume work. Its foot-pedal wheel brake holds the assembly securely while weights are installed, reducing repeat spins and improving workflow consistency.
The NTB-550 provides multiple balancing programs to handle different wheel types and correction methods. Static and Dynamic modes support standard steel wheels with clip-on weights, while ALU1, ALU2, and ALU3 modes are designed for alloy wheels requiring different weight placements. The ALUS mode with four-parameter entry provides precise measurement when using adhesive weights, and the OPT mode helps match the tire and rim position to reduce remaining imbalance. A built-in self-calibration function allows technicians to maintain accuracy using a standard 14" or 15" steel wheel and the included calibration weight.
Designed for everyday shop use, the NTB-550 includes practical features such as a quick-release wing nut, speed nut, selectable gram/ounce and millimeter/inch displays, adjustable least-unbalance thresholds, and a plastic safety hood with optional automatic spin control. A dedicated motorcycle mode is also available when paired with the required adapter.
This wheel balancer is ideal for independent tire shops, repair facilities, dealerships, and mobile tire service operations looking for reliable equipment without unnecessary complexity. It can be used as a standalone machine or paired with Triumph tire changers such as the NTC-950, NTC-950-1, or NTC-950-2 to create a complete tire service station.

The Triumph NTB-550 is backed by a 1-year parts warranty covering manufacturing defects for the original purchaser.
Shipping & Delivery
The Triumph NTB-550 ships via LTL freight on a 48-foot semi-truck and includes lift-gate service, allowing the driver to lower the crate to ground level at the rear of the truck.
The freight driver is not responsible for moving the balancer inside the shop, unpacking the equipment, or completing installation. Customers should plan for appropriate assistance at the delivery location.
For added flexibility, terminal pickup is available upon request. Customers may collect the unit from the carrier’s nearest freight terminal using a suitable trailer or van.
The freight carrier will coordinate the delivery appointment directly with the customer.
