The Atlas LMA “Lawnmower Adapter” kit is an accessory designed to expand the versatility of most symmetric-arm 2-post above-ground lifts, allowing them to safely handle low-profile equipment like lawnmowers, ATVs, and other small vehicles that don’t align well with standard lift arms. It includes four adapter plates and all necessary hardware, giving you a modular way to distribute load across uneven or unconventional frames.

What makes this kit different is how it manages weight distribution. Instead of relying on fixed lifting points, the LMA creates a bridge-style support system between the lift arms, but the actual safe capacity depends heavily on how it’s positioned. Because real-world lift ratings often vary from their advertised capacity, the usable weight must be adjusted based on your specific lift and setup. The closer the adapter plates are positioned toward the columns, the more stable and higher-capacity the setup becomes; moving them farther outward reduces capacity and changes load dynamics significantly.

In practical terms, this means an 8,000 lb. 2-post lift does not stay an 8,000 lb. lift once the LMA is installed. The added weight of the adapter (about 600 lbs.) must be accounted for, and usable capacity can drop depending on wheelbase positioning—from roughly 5,400 lbs. in tighter setups to around 4,400 lbs. at maximum extension. Proper balance is critical, especially when lifting machines with uneven weight distribution, where one end is significantly heavier than the other.

This accessory is best suited for equipment service shops, landscaping businesses, small engine repair facilities, and multi-use garages that need occasional lifting flexibility beyond standard vehicle frames. It’s not a universal solution, but rather a specialized tool for adapting a 2-post lift to non-traditional loads with careful weight management.

The Atlas Wheel Stands are a set of four steel wheel stands rated at 6,000 lbs combined (1,500 lbs per stand) that give two-post and mid-rise lift owners a practical alternative to a dedicated four-post alignment rack. At 39.5 inches tall — taller than most competing stands — they position the wheel at the correct height for hanging alignment sensors, and the 19.5" × 19.5" solid steel surface with 0.38-inch thick top plating provides a stable, level platform for turntable placement. Place a turntable on each stand, raise the vehicle on the existing two-post or mid-rise lift, and the setup functions as a four-post alignment platform without a dedicated rack or additional floor space.

The alignment workflow is straightforward: position the wheel stands under each wheel, use the two-post or mid-rise lift arms to raise the vehicle to working height for lateral runout compensation and front or rear end adjustments, and run the alignment sensors from the stands. The stands are height-adjustable for leveling, which matters on shop floors that aren't perfectly flat and where an unlevel platform introduces measurement error before the alignment even starts. Beyond alignment, the stands work for exhaust, suspension, and undercar service where wheel support at a fixed height is needed independently of the lift arms.

Atlas Wheel Stands are the right fit for small independent shops that don't have floor space for a dedicated four-post alignment lift but perform enough alignment work to need a repeatable setup, two-post lift owners who want alignment capability without a second piece of equipment, and shops running mid-rise lifts that need a stable wheel support platform for sensor-based alignment work.
