At its core, the PVL14OF-EXT uses a high-strength cable lifting system paired with an oversized under-runway hydraulic cylinder, powered by a 220V single-phase ALLY Hydraulic AL3000 power unit. This setup delivers controlled, consistent lifting while avoiding the alignment and wear issues commonly associated with older chain-style systems that use exposed hydraulic cylinders. The enclosed cable configuration also helps reduce the risk of contact damage during vehicle loading and positioning, especially in tight shop environments.

The defining feature of this model is its built-in alignment functionality combined with an open-front design. Integrated slip plates and heavy-duty turntables allow for full wheel alignment procedures directly on the lift, while the open-front structure gives technicians better access to the underside of the vehicle for steering and suspension adjustments. Between the runways, integrated tracks allow the use of a rolling bridge jack such as the Atlas RJ7000 (sold separately), expanding its use into tire, brake, and general service work without moving the vehicle.
