The Atlas® Platinum PWB70 is a motorized, computer-controlled wheel balancer designed for tire shops that need fast cycle times and reliable accuracy during steady passenger and light-truck service. Built with Italian-engineered components, it delivers a 7-second balancing cycle with 1-gram accuracy and 1.4° weight-position resolution, giving technicians consistent results without repeated trial-and-error spins. The upgrades over earlier models are focused on day-to-day efficiency — improved visibility, faster positioning, and a smoother workflow.
The system uses an automatic 2D data-entry gauge to capture rim diameter and offset in a single step, eliminating manual input errors. Once the spin cycle is complete, a laser line indicates the exact 12 o’clock weight position, while an internal LED light improves visibility inside the wheel. Functions like OPTIMATCH help correct stubborn imbalance conditions, while ALU and ALU-S programs support alloy wheel applications. FES (Fast & Easy Split) allows adhesive weights to be hidden cleanly behind spokes, and OWF (Opposite Weight Function) shifts placement from 12 to 6 o’clock when rear access is more practical.
An electric brake with smart-approach control positions the wheel precisely at the correction point, reducing handling time between cycles.
