The Atlas PSP-6000 is a 6,000 lb. capacity portable single-post lift designed for both commercial service shops and home garage owners who want full lifting capability without permanently dedicating a bay. Its key advantage is flexibility: when not in use, the unit can be rolled out of the way, freeing up valuable floor space while still providing access to professional-grade lifting when needed.
Unlike fixed installations, the PSP-6000 uses a rigid base and portable column design that allows it to operate on a level concrete surface indoors or outdoors. A built-in drive-over ramp lets vehicles pass over the base, making it practical in tight garages where space management is critical. The lift operates on 110V power (30-amp breaker required) and fits under a 9-foot ceiling, making it compatible with many residential garages while still delivering enough height—up to approximately 71 inches of lift travel—to access brakes, suspension, and underbody components comfortably.
The lifting system uses two-stage telescoping swing arms with locking arm restraints, providing stable positioning for a wide range of passenger vehicles and light trucks. In the event of a chain issue, the built-in chain break safety mechanism automatically locks the carriage, adding an important layer of protection during operation. A single-point lock release simplifies lowering the vehicle once service is complete.
This lift is best suited for independent repair shops, mobile service setups, and home garage owners who need a space-saving alternative to traditional two-post or four-post lifts. It is especially useful in multi-use garages where floor space must remain flexible.
The PSP-6000 includes a free 8-piece truck adapter set and double screw-up adapters, and is backed by a 2-year structural warranty and 1-year hydraulic warranty (parts only), focusing on portability without sacrificing core lifting strength and safety features.
