The BelAire 338HL is a 7.5 HP, two-stage air compressor built for commercial shops with either 208V or 230V three-phase power. Its dual-voltage motor lets the same model be configured for either common low-voltage three-phase supply, removing one potential compatibility issue before installation or a future move. The package includes an 80-gallon horizontal ASME tank, factory-installed magnetic starter, cast iron cylinders with aluminum heads, and an aftercooler, with a maximum pressure of 175 PSI. At 71" long and 49" high, the horizontal layout is also a practical choice where ceiling clearance is limited.
The dual-voltage three-phase motor is the main advantage for buyers managing commercial facilities or equipment across multiple locations. Three-phase power provides smooth, continuous motor operation without the auxiliary starting components used by many single-phase motors, while the included magnetic starter provides motor overload protection from the start. The belt-driven two-stage pump combines durable cast iron cylinders with aluminum heads to help manage heat, and the aftercooler reduces discharge temperature before air enters the receiver. Published airflow data lists 22.3 CFM, but the rating pressure is inconsistent between available sources, so buyers sizing the compressor for a specific continuous-demand tool should confirm the CFM rating with the manufacturer before ordering.
This compressor is a strong fit for busy multi-bay automotive and repair shops, fabrication facilities, and commercial operations with sustained air demand. It also makes sense for businesses that may relocate or operate from buildings with different 208V and 230V three-phase services. The 538-lb horizontal package provides easier access to service components and works well beneath lower ceilings, though it requires more floor space than a vertical receiver. An air dryer is not included, so shops requiring dry air for paint or sensitive pneumatic equipment should plan for downstream air treatment.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The receiver is built and stamped to the ASME pressure-vessel code and carries a safety valve. That is the certification BelAire claims for this machine. It applies to the tank, and it is verifiable.
We do not hold a North American third-party electrical safety listing from an accredited testing laboratory for this unit. A pressure-vessel code stamp and an electrical safety listing are different documents covering different hazards, and one does not imply the other. Some insurers, corporate facility standards and local electrical inspectors require an electrical listing by name. If there is any chance yours does, settle it before ordering and ask us in writing — we would rather answer the question now than have a 538 lb machine fail an inspection in your building.
Freight & Receiving
Freight shipment to the lower 48 states, free of charge.
You must be able to take it off the truck. That means a forklift or loading dock at the delivery address, or arranging terminal pickup and collecting it yourself. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Check the skid for shifting, the tank ends for dents, the guard for distortion and the trailer deck for oil. Note anything you find on the delivery paperwork and photograph it while the driver is still there. Damage reported after a clean signature is much more difficult to claim.
Warranty
A 2-Year bumper-to-bumper factory warranty covers all components, with no additional purchase required. Record the serial number as the crate comes apart and keep it with your invoice.
One standing warning: do not disassemble the pump, motor or pressure switch before a claim has been opened. The manufacturer may need to inspect the component in the condition in which it failed. Report the fault first.
Then keep to the oil and belt-tension schedule, and drain the tank. The drain on this model is manual, and an undrained receiver can rust from the inside where nobody can see it.
