The BelAire 338VLE Elite Series combines 7.5 HP, 175 PSI maximum pressure and an 80-gallon vertical ASME tank with a 208–230V three-phase motor. Its pump uses a deliberate combination of cast-iron cylinders, aluminum heads and stainless steel valves: the iron provides a durable wear surface around the cylinders, while the aluminum heads help shed heat from the hottest part of the pump. A triple-pass, pump-mounted aftercooler further reduces discharge temperature before air reaches the tank. The factory-installed magnetic starter provides motor protection. Note: the compressor measures approximately 39" × 24" × 77" and weighs 548 lbs, so confirm ceiling clearance, access and floor conditions before installation.
The two-stage pump compresses air in stages, with cooling between them before the final compression cycle. The triple-pass aftercooler then cools the discharge air before it enters the receiver, allowing more moisture to condense at the tank rather than in downstream piping. The Elite Series pressurized automatic tank drain removes that condensate without relying on an electronic timer, while the oil sight glass makes routine lubrication checks easy. The three-phase motor also requires less current than an equivalent single-phase setup, and BelAire lists a 40-amp breaker for this model. Actual electrical requirements should still be confirmed by a certified electrician, including conductor sizing, motor rotation and disconnect requirements.
This compressor is well suited to commercial automotive shops, industrial facilities and multi-user service environments that already have 208–230V three-phase power. Its vertical tank keeps the floor footprint compact, making it useful where an 80-gallon horizontal compressor would consume too much working space. The source material contains conflicting airflow ratings, including 22.3 CFM at different stated pressures, so airflow should be confirmed with the manufacturer before sizing tools or other equipment around it. An air dryer is not included, and the compressor should be installed with adequate clearance around the pump and belt guard for cooling and maintenance access.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The tank is ASME certified and includes ASME-rated safety valves. BelAire also states that each machine is 100% factory tested at full pressure.
ASME certification applies to the pressure vessel that stores the compressed air, not the electrical assembly. BelAire's data for this model does not claim a third-party North American electrical safety listing, so we will not imply one.
If your insurer, fleet policy or local inspector requires an independent electrical listing, ask us to confirm the available documentation in writing before ordering.
Shipping & Delivery
Ships by freight to the lower 48 states, secured upright on a pallet. At 548 lbs, plan for a loading dock, forklift or pallet jack with hard, level ground for unloading. If those are unavailable, ask us about terminal pickup.
Residential deliveries carry an additional fee, quoted with shipping at checkout.
Inspect before signing. Check the tank, belt guard, gauge and aftercooler for damage. Record any issues on the delivery receipt with the driver present and take photographs before accepting the shipment.
Warranty
This model includes a 2-Year full factory warranty, with no additional purchase required. The warranty document supplied with the machine governs coverage, so keep it with your purchase records.
If a problem develops, do not disassemble the pump, motor or electrical enclosure before opening a warranty claim. Contact us first so the manufacturer can inspect the affected components intact.
