The BelAire 6312V Iron Series combines a 10 HP three-phase motor with an 80-gallon vertical ASME tank and a solid cast iron two-stage pump. Its key advantage is dual-voltage capability: the motor can be configured for 208V or 230V three-phase service, allowing the same compressor to work with either common shop supply. The pump delivers 35 CFM at 100 PSI and 32 CFM at 175 PSI, with a 175 PSI maximum. A magnetic starter is included. Note: BelAire does not publish amp draw or breaker sizing for this model, so a qualified electrician should determine the appropriate circuit and disconnect for your installation.
The pump uses automotive-style rod bearings and wrist pins, along with solid cast iron construction and splash lubrication. Two-stage compression divides the work between two cylinders, allowing the compressor to reach higher pressure while managing the heat generated during compression. The 6312V also includes an oil sight glass for routine level checks, a fully enclosed high-flow belt guard, and a manual tank drain. For applications where moisture control is important, BelAire recommends the CPXHT50 air dryer, which is not included.
At a listed 42" × 30" × 74" and 830 lbs, the vertical configuration keeps the compressor's footprint smaller than a comparable horizontal arrangement while providing substantial receiver capacity. The 6312V is a strong fit for multi-bay automotive shops, fleet facilities, fabrication areas, and light manufacturing operations with either 208V or 230V three-phase service. Its 35 CFM output at 100 PSI supports heavier air-tool workloads than smaller shop compressors, while the 32 CFM available at 175 PSI provides reserve for applications operating at higher pressure. Plan for a solid, level installation surface and sufficient clearance around the pump, belt guard, drain, and top of the tank.

The tank size on this page is stated two different ways
| Tank volume |
The product title, the manufacturer's description and the specification field all describe a 120-Gallon vertical tank. The feature list on this same page instead says the ASME tank and safety valve give an "80 gallon air reserve for big jobs or multiple users". Those two figures cannot both be right for one vessel, and we are not going to quietly choose the larger one because it sells better. If tank volume is decisive for you — and on a compressor it often is, because reserve volume is what stops the motor cycling — ask us in writing and we will have BelAire confirm the vessel size before you order.

Certification, Stated Honestly
ASME is the certification this product's data records, and it applies to the pressure-containing components: the tank is an ASME-certified vessel, and the relief device is an ASME safety valve. On a machine holding 175 PSI in a commercial building, that is normally the first documentation an inspector will want to see.
No listing by an independent testing laboratory for the electrical assembly as a whole is recorded anywhere in this product's data. That is a separate approval from a separate body, and tank certification does not imply it. Whether you need an independent electrical listing depends on your insurer, local electrical inspector and any workplace safety requirements that apply to your facility. Establish that before purchase — it is a cheap question now and an expensive one to discover at final inspection.
Shipping and Delivery
This item ships free within the lower 48 states, so there is nothing to add at checkout. Decide in advance how the equipment will come off the trailer: forklift, loading dock, or collection from the carrier's terminal. Residential deliveries carry an additional fee, which is added and displayed at checkout.
Inspect the crate and equipment before signing for the shipment. If you find damage, put it on the bill of lading while the driver is still there. Once you have signed a clean receipt, recovering for freight damage becomes considerably more difficult.
Warranty
This model carries a 2-Year bumper-to-bumper factory warranty, and BelAire's warranty document linked on this page is the governing version. No additional purchase is required for the factory warranty.
Protect that coverage the obvious way: if a component fails, photograph it in place, leave it assembled, and contact us before anything is dismantled. Once a component has been taken apart before it has been assessed, determining the original cause of failure becomes much more difficult and can complicate the warranty claim.
