EMAX includes a 1-year standard warranty on Silent Air piston compressors covering defects in materials, workmanship, and parts from the date of delivery, including 1 year of warranty labor through an authorized technician. Standard technical support is available at no additional cost during and after the warranty period.

Coverage can be extended up to 5 years by registering the compressor and following EMAX’s maintenance requirements using EMAX SMART OIL™. The program requires replacing the factory break-in oil within the first 70 hours of operation, then changing oil every 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. The EMAX 5-Year Extended Warranty Kit (EFKIT008AWBS, sold separately) is required for extended coverage.

The compressor requires 230V single-phase power (±10%). It draws 26.45 full-load amps with a 1.15 service factor and has a 135A locked-rotor starting current. A 40A breaker is recommended. The unit uses a fixed-start motor and does not include a magnetic starter, so appropriate motor protection should be installed according to local electrical codes.

How loud is it?

The Silent Air™ silencer reduces intake noise — the primary noise source on piston compressors — to at or below conversational volume, allowing normal conversation next to the unit during operation.

Can it run continuously?

The compressor is rated for a 60% duty cycle. For continuous-run or higher-duty-cycle applications, the pump supports an automatic head unloader that keeps the motor running unloaded between demand cycles, reducing repeated starts and stops.

What oil does it use, and how much?

The pump has a 1.75-quart oil capacity. It ships with factory break-in oil that must be replaced within the first 70 hours of operation. EMAX SMART OIL™ is required for the extended warranty maintenance program.
