The EMAX Industrial Plus ESP05V080I1PK combines a 5 HP two-stage air compressor with a 30 CFM refrigerated air dryer to provide a complete compressed-air system for shops that need both airflow and moisture control. The pressure-lubricated pump delivers 19 CFM with a 175 PSI maximum pressure from an 80-gallon vertical tank, running on 230V single-phase power for easier installation without three-phase service. With Silent Air™ noise reduction, a 60% duty cycle rating, and an estimated 70,000-hour pump life, this package is designed for demanding daily shop use. The system is ETL, ASME, and CRN certified and includes a recommended 40-amp breaker setup.
The Silent Air™ intake system reduces compressor noise by targeting the loudest sound source — the intake — using noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filtration that provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups. The external silencer keeps the pump accessible for maintenance, while the 100% cast-iron pressure-lubricated pump delivers oil directly to critical components through a gear-driven oil pump, rifle-drilled crankshaft and connecting rods, and a spin-on oil filter. Features like CNC-machined disc valves, rebuildable connecting rods, cast-iron cylinders, and continuous-run head unloaders help reduce wear during extended operation.
Ideal for automotive repair shops, fabrication facilities, professional garages, and businesses running pneumatic tools throughout the day, this package supplies clean, dry air for impact tools, sanders, grinders, spray equipment, and other compressed-air applications. The included 30 CFM refrigerated air dryer with built-in prefilters removes moisture before it reaches your tools, while the automatic tank drain, dual-belt drive, pump riser cooling system, and vibration isolator pads simplify operation and maintenance. Features
Silent Air™ Technology
Noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity intake filtration provide up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups while reducing intake noise. The open design keeps the pump accessible for easy maintenance.
Pressure-Lubricated Pump
A gear-driven oil pump provides continuous pressurized lubrication to crankshaft bearings and connecting rod assemblies. Features rifle-drilled oil passages, spin-on oil filter, liquid-filled pressure gauge, adjustable regulator, and bleeder valve for reliable operation and simplified maintenance.
100% Cast Iron Pump Construction
Built with cast iron crankcase, cylinders, cylinder heads, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston for maximum durability in high-duty-cycle applications.
Heavy-Duty Pistons and Connecting Rods
Cast iron high-pressure pistons resist wear under heavy loads, while CNC-machined rebuildable connecting rods with replaceable bearing inserts provide long-term reliability. Four-ring piston design improves sealing and reduces oil carryover.
CNC-Machined Disc Valves
Precision-ground disc valves provide superior sealing, durability, and quick servicing compared with traditional reed-style valve designs. Supports automatic head-unloader operation for reduced motor load and continuous-run applications.
Cast Iron Cylinder Heads
Solid cast iron heads provide excellent rigidity, strong fastener retention, and reliable gasket sealing without frequent retorquing.
Precision Cast Iron Cylinders
CNC-machined and precision-honed cylinders improve break-in, reduce oil carryover, extend ring life, and maximize cooling with deep cooling fins.
Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Flywheel
A 16-inch cast iron flywheel with dual B-style belts and cooling fins improves energy efficiency, reduces amp draw, and extends belt and pump life.
Multi-Belt V-Drive with Dual-Bolt Tensioner
The B-width multi-belt drive provides increased grip, reduced vibration, and lower bearing strain. The dual-bolt tensioner ensures accurate belt alignment and adjustment.
Pump Riser Cooling
Elevates the pump to improve airflow around the flywheel and oil reservoir for enhanced cooling performance.
Electric Auto Drain
Automatically removes moisture from the tank with adjustable drain cycles from 1–45 minutes and customizable open duration. Includes an air muffler for quieter discharge.
30 CFM Refrigerated Air Dryer
Included dryer removes moisture from compressed air using a built-in 0.001-micron prefilter and 0.005-micron coalescing prefilter, providing a complete matched air system.

Warranty
The compressor includes a 1-year standard warranty covering defects in materials, workmanship, and parts from the date of delivery, including 1 year of warranty labor from an authorized technician. Registering the compressor with EMAX activates coverage and provides access to extended warranty options.
Coverage can be extended up to 5 years by enrolling in the EMAX extended warranty plan, using EMAX SMART OIL, and following the required maintenance schedule. Maintenance includes replacing the factory break-in oil within the first 70 hours of operation, then changing oil every 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first.
The EMAX 5-Year Extended Warranty Kit (EFKIT008AWBS, sold separately) is designed for 5–10 HP Silent Air electric models and includes the SMART OIL, spin-on oil filter, and Silent Air filter elements required for the extended warranty program.
The included refrigerated air dryer has its own 1-year warranty with 1 year of warranty labor. Dryer coverage can be extended up to 3 years by registering for the extended plan, purchasing one Airbase dryer filter replacement kit annually, and following the recommended maintenance schedule. Standard technical support is available at no charge for both units during and after the warranty period.
FAQ
How quiet is it?
The patented Silent Air™ system reduces intake noise — the main source of compressor sound — providing operation up to 50% quieter and at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA reduction is perceived by the human ear as approximately half as loud.
What electrical service does it need?
The compressor requires 230V single-phase power (±10%) with a recommended 40A breaker. It draws 26.45 full-load amps with a 1.15 service factor and has a 135A peak starting draw. A magnetic starter is not included.
Can it run continuously?
Yes. The unit is rated for a 60% duty cycle and includes a head unloader with pilot valve to unload the pump at preset pressure, allowing the motor to continue running instead of cycling. For applications above a 40% duty cycle, the connected ball valve can be opened for continuous-run operation.
How does the auto drain work?
The dual-timer electric drain automatically removes moisture from the tank. The drain interval can be adjusted from 1–45 minutes, with adjustable open duration, and an included muffler reduces discharge noise.
What maintenance keeps the warranty valid?
Replace the factory break-in oil within the first 70 hours, then change oil every 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first, using EMAX-approved oil. Maintain the proper oil level and follow EMAX SMART OIL requirements for extended warranty coverage.
