The EMAX ESP07V120V3PK-208 combines a 7.5 HP two-stage Silent Air compressor with a 58 CFM refrigerated air dryer on a 120-gallon vertical tank, creating a complete compressed air system for shops with high daily demand. The cast-iron pump delivers 31 CFM (26 CFM at 175 PSI) on 208/230V three-phase power, with a 60% duty cycle and continuous-run capability for applications like tire service, sandblasting, plasma cutting, painting, and heavy air-tool use. The included dryer is oversized for the compressor output, providing additional capacity to remove moisture and contaminants before they reach your equipment.
The patented Silent Air™ silencer system targets intake noise — the loudest source of piston compressor sound — using noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filtration media for operation up to 50% quieter while keeping the pump accessible for service. Inside, the 100% cast iron, pressure-lubricated pump uses a gear-driven oil system that continuously feeds filtered oil to critical components through rifle-drilled crankshaft and connecting rod passages. This design reduces friction and heat buildup during extended operation, while the four-ring piston system, rebuildable connecting rods, and cast iron cylinders are built for long service life.
The included 58 CFM refrigerated air dryer cools compressed air to remove moisture, then uses a built-in coalescing filter to capture oil and solid particles before air reaches your lines and tools. This package is designed for professional automotive shops, fabrication facilities, production environments, and high-use garage setups that need quieter operation, reliable airflow, and properly dried compressed air from a single system.
Features
100% Cast Iron, Pressure-Lubricated Pump
Every major component of the Eaton pump is constructed from cast iron — including the crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston. This heavy-duty construction provides the rigidity and heat resistance required for high-duty-cycle operation compared with lighter aluminum pump designs. The pump is engineered for an estimated 70,000-hour service life.
A gear-driven oil pump mounted at the rear of the crankshaft generates continuous positive oil pressure, delivering lubrication to every bearing point. The crankshaft and connecting rods are rifle-drilled to direct oil flow to high-wear areas, while an automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps contaminants out of the system. A liquid-filled oil pressure gauge provides quick monitoring during operation.
Cast Iron Cylinders and Cylinder Heads
The CNC-machined cast iron cylinders are precision-honed for accurate bore alignment and reduced oil carryover, while deep cooling fins maximize heat dissipation during demanding operation. Deep-bored, threaded head holes provide strong bolt retention and maintain gasket sealing under load.
Solid cast iron cylinder heads use a concentric-ring disc valve design that provides reliable sealing without frequent retorquing. Valve service is simple: remove the retainer, inspect or replace the valve, and reinstall.
Four-Ring Pistons and Rebuildable Connecting Rods
The high-pressure cast iron pistons are designed for heavy loads and feature a four-ring configuration — two oil-control rings and two overlapping compression rings — to reduce blow-by, minimize oil carryover, and extend piston-ring life.
CNC-machined cast iron connecting rods provide maximum rigidity at the crankshaft end, where lighter aluminum rods commonly experience failure. Replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins make the connecting rod assembly fully rebuildable rather than disposable. The low-pressure pistons in the two-stage pump use aluminum construction because they operate under lower stress levels of approximately 45 PSI.
Cast Iron Flywheel and Dual-Belt V-Drive
The 7.5 HP pump uses a 20-inch cast iron flywheel with dual B-style V-belts and nine integrated cooling fins. The flywheel’s additional mass stores kinetic energy to reduce amp draw and smooth operation, while the dual-belt drive spreads load across a larger contact area to reduce belt wear and bearing stress.
Built for Continuous-Duty Service
-
Dual-bolt belt tensioner — Allows precise belt adjustment and alignment without pry bars, improving belt life and simplifying maintenance.
-
Pump-mount riser — Raises the pump to provide 360-degree airflow from the flywheel across the oil reservoir and underneath the pump for improved cooling.
-
Dual-timer electric auto drain — Automatically removes moisture from the receiver tank with adjustable drain intervals from 1 to 45 minutes and an included air muffler for quieter discharge.
-
TEFC motor with magnetic starter — Features a totally enclosed fan-cooled motor and factory-installed magnetic starter for reliable three-phase operation.
-
Head-unloader ready — The valve system supports automatic head unloaders, recommended for electric compressors operating at 40% duty cycle or higher.

Warranty
Both the compressor and refrigerated dryer carry a 1-year standard warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials, workmanship, and parts, including one year of warranty labor from an authorized technician. Standard warranty coverage does not require maintenance enrollment.
The compressor warranty extends to a full 5 years when the unit is registered and maintained according to EMAX’s service schedule using EMAX SMART OIL. This requires changing the factory break-in oil within the first 70 hours of operation, then replacing the oil every 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. The refrigerated dryer warranty extends to 3 years when registered and maintained with one dryer filter replacement kit purchased annually. The required service kits are the EFKIT008AWBS for the compressor and FKIT012A for the dryer.
FAQ
What electrical service do I need?
- The compressor requires 208/230V three-phase power with a recommended 40-amp breaker.
- Full-load current is 20.47 amps, with a locked-rotor draw of 132 amps.
- The refrigerated dryer requires its own separate 115V single-phase circuit with a 10-amp breaker.
- Confirm that your shop has available three-phase electrical service before ordering.
Is 31 CFM enough for my tools?
- The pump delivers 31 CFM displacement and 26 CFM at 175 PSI into a 120-gallon receiver tank.
- With a 60% duty cycle and continuous-run capability, it is suited for demanding shop applications such as sanders, tire equipment, and media blasting.
- Always size the compressor based on the combined CFM requirements of the tools expected to operate simultaneously.
How loud is it?
- The patented Silent Air™ silencer reduces compressor noise by up to 50% compared with a comparable open compressor.
- Operation is brought down to approximately conversational volume while keeping the pump accessible for maintenance and service.
Why is a refrigerated dryer included?
