The Katool KT-299U is a full-platform auto body frame machine with a 10-ton pulling tower — enough capacity to handle serious structural collision damage on passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs. It's driven by a high-pressure pneumatic pump, and the frame is built from manganese steel processed through CNC plasma cutting, Panasonic CO2 welding, shot blasting, and powder coating. That manufacturing stack isn't typical at this price point and reflects a machine built for long-term shop use, not occasional work.
What separates the KT-299U from basic frame machines is how much flexibility it gives you mid-repair. The towers are made from 10mm seamless steel pipe and rotate a full 360 degrees along the platform, so you can reposition your pull angle without moving the vehicle. The positioning slot eliminates dead spots, meaning you can anchor and set the tower at any point along the platform without gaps in coverage. The spiral movement design on the main clamps adds fine adjustability when you're locking onto a section of the chassis — reducing the chance of slippage or misalignment during a pull. The tilt hydraulic lifting platform handles vehicle loading, and all included accessories and tools are multi-heated and forged rather than cast, which directly affects how they hold up under repeated high-load use.
The KT-299U is built for collision repair shops that handle structural damage daily and need a frame machine that keeps pace with volume work. It's also a strong fit for dealership body departments where consistency and cycle time matter, and for independent technicians moving up from a portable puller to a dedicated platform with the pulling capacity to handle full frame corrections.
