The combination of aftercooling and refrigerated drying is particularly useful in a busy shop. Hot, saturated air leaving the screw element is cooled first, allowing much of the condensed moisture to be removed before the air reaches the dryer. That gives the dryer cooler inlet air to process and helps deliver drier compressed air to downstream equipment. The Auto-Dual control system also allows scheduled shutdowns, so the compressor can stop during programmed idle periods instead of maintaining pressure when the shop is empty. A TEFC motor, long-life V-belt drive, synthetic lubricant rated for 8,000 hours, low-oil shutdown, and oil sight glass round out a design built for regular service.
This compressor is a practical step up for two- and three-bay independent repair shops, tire and fleet operations, and small fabrication facilities that have outgrown piston compressors. Its continuous 38.8 CFM output can support multiple air tools, sanders, smaller blast cabinets, tire equipment, and lifts, but it is not intended for high-demand applications such as production spray booths or large media blasters. It also suits serious home or collector garages that already have the required three-phase electrical service and floor space for a horizontal receiver.
Will it fit, and can you power it?
At 76 inches long, 25 inches wide and 58 inches tall, this 850-lb package is the lightest configuration available on this receiver — an important detail if the floor has any load limitations. Its long, low profile means the main installation constraint is usually the length of wall space available, along with adequate service clearance at the panel end, rather than ceiling height. The receiver outlet is 1/2 inch, so your header sizing should start there.
Electrically, this is a 208–230/460V, 3-phase unit with a magnetic starter already fitted. A licensed electrician is required for the installation, and Quincy is explicit that the amp draw and recommended breaker size are not published for this model; both specifications are listed as “Consult Certified Electrician.” We will not fill those gaps with estimates. Have the electrical service, feeder and disconnect sized from the machine’s nameplate before it arrives. Supply, installation location and any required permits are the customer’s responsibility.

What's included
According to the manufacturer's feature list and specification table, the package includes the QGS rotary screw compressor with a long-life V-belt drive, integrated refrigerated air dryer, aftercooler, 120-gallon horizontal receiver, TEFC electric motor, standard quiet enclosure, Auto-Dual control, air filter, pressure gauge, oil sight glass, low-oil shutdown for the engine and pump, and factory-filled premium synthetic lubricant.
An electronic drain valve is not included. Plan on a manual condensate-draining routine or budget for an automatic drain separately.
Shipping and delivery
This unit ships by freight within the lower 48 states, with the current rate calculated at checkout based on your delivery address. We deliberately do not publish a fixed shipping price because freight costs change, and an outdated figure creates more confusion than value.
Even though this is the lightest unit in this group, it is still far too large for standard curbside handoff. Before shipment, arrange the equipment needed to unload it — typically a loading dock, forklift, or terminal pickup. Residential delivery will incur an additional residential fee.
Inspect the crate carefully when it arrives. If you find damage, document it and have the damage recorded on the bill of lading before signing for the shipment. A clean signed bill of lading is generally the carrier's record that the equipment arrived without visible damage.
Warranty
The recorded warranty is 1 year for consumer use and 1 year for commercial use as standard. An extended 3-year factory warranty is available, and the True Blue 5-Year Warranty is available when the unit is commissioned through a Quincy-authorized startup.
That authorized startup matters: it is a condition of the extended coverage, not simply an optional convenience. Coordinate it with the electrical installation so the compressor is commissioned correctly from day one.
If a problem does occur, stop the machine and contact us before attempting repairs. Opening the compressor or having unauthorized work performed can complicate a warranty claim, so give us the opportunity to troubleshoot the issue first.
