The Quincy QGS 25 HP rotary screw compressor is a smart fit for shops that expect their air demand to grow but do not need to buy excess capacity today. Its Infologic2 Basic controller can network up to six compatible QGS units in the 20–30 HP range, giving you a documented path to expand capacity without having separate compressors competing against each other. The package combines a 25 HP oil-injected twin-screw airend, 132-gallon horizontal receiver, integrated refrigerated air dryer, and aftercooler on one skid. Note: the unit measures 74" × 30.7" × 72.2", weighs 1,329 lbs, and requires 208–230/460V three-phase power.

The 100% duty-cycle rating means the rotary screw airend is designed for continuous operation rather than limited run periods. Premium synthetic lubrication, a spin-on fluid filter, oil sight glass, and low-oil shutdown on both the engine and pump support reliable operation during long shifts. A full sound enclosure and TEFC motor with IP55 wash-down protection make the package better suited to working environments where noise, dust, and moisture matter. The integrated refrigerated dryer provides dry compressed air, while the display provides pressure, temperature, and dewpoint information so operators can monitor the system rather than simply assume it is working.

This package is well suited to growing automotive shops, tire and body operations, blasting and production environments, and facilities with all-shift air demand. It is particularly valuable when you want to start with one compressor and add another later under coordinated control. The 132-gallon receiver, dryer, and aftercooler arrive as part of the packaged system, but electrical installation, wiring, plumbing, and commissioning are separate. An electronic drain valve is not included, so condensate management must be handled as part of the site's maintenance routine. A certified electrician should confirm the electrical installation requirements before delivery.

Will It Fit? Siting and Power

Footprint. The complete package measures 74" long × 30.7" wide × 72.2" tall and weighs approximately 1,329 lbs. The horizontal receiver gives it a relatively long, narrow footprint that can work well along a wall. Leave enough clearance around the hinged doors and detachable panels to open them fully and perform routine service.

Electrical. The motor is specified for 208–230/460V, 3-phase power. Quincy does not publish an amp draw or recommended breaker size for this configuration and instead directs customers to consult a certified electrician. We will not substitute an estimate. Have your electrician size the feeder and overcurrent protection from the machine's actual nameplate and applicable local code, and resolve the electrical requirements before delivery.

Plumbing. The receiver has a 1" outlet, providing the connection point for the shop's compressed-air main.

An electronic drain valve is listed as not included, so plan for manual condensate draining unless an automatic drain is added separately. Assign that task to a specific maintenance routine rather than relying on memory.

Buying One Compressor and Planning for Two

Air demand often grows gradually, and adding a second compressor without a coordinated control strategy can make both machines operate less efficiently than intended.

Quincy supports networking multiple QGS compressors in the 20–30 HP range under a common control scheme, allowing the connected machines to coordinate operation rather than simply responding independently to the same demand.

That provides a useful expansion path. If your current demand clearly requires more capacity, buying the appropriately sized compressor now makes sense. But if you are planning for demand that has not arrived yet, a compressor with a documented path for adding capacity can be a more flexible choice than purchasing a substantially larger machine based solely on projected growth.

100% Duty Cycle, and What It Actually Means

A 100% duty-cycle rating means the compressor is designed for continuous operation rather than requiring a scheduled rest period during normal operation.

That is one of the key characteristics that makes an oil-injected rotary screw compressor appropriate for applications with sustained air demand. The airend uses oil for lubrication and cooling, while the package includes premium synthetic lubricant, a spin-on fluid filter, oil sight glass and low-oil shutdown protection.

The compressor is also equipped with a full sound enclosure and a TEFC motor with IP55 protection, helping make the package suitable for installation closer to occupied working areas than an unenclosed compressor might be.

Starting uses Wye-delta reduced-voltage starting, which reduces starting current compared with full-voltage starting.

The display controller provides operating and alarm information, including pressure, temperature and dewpoint readings, allowing operators to monitor the compressor and integrated dryer rather than relying solely on external gauges.

Certification, Stated Honestly

The specification sheet records an ASME certification for this SKU, which is relevant given the package's 132-gallon receiver. ASME certification applies to the pressure vessel and is the type of documentation an inspector or insurer may require for the tank.

Our current product data does not identify an independent electrical or equipment-safety listing covering the packaged compressor as a whole, so we will not imply that one exists.

Shipping and Delivery

This unit ships by freight within the lower 48 states, with the current freight cost calculated at checkout for the delivery address you provide.

At approximately 1,329 lbs, the package requires suitable unloading equipment. Plan for a loading dock or appropriately rated forklift, or arrange collection from the carrier's terminal if the destination cannot safely unload the shipment.

Residential deliveries carry an additional residential-delivery fee, which will be reflected in the checkout freight quote when applicable.

Inspect the crate and equipment before signing the delivery paperwork. Look for damage to the receiver, frame, panels, gauges, fittings and other exposed components. Photograph anything questionable and have the damage recorded on the bill of lading while the driver is present. 

Warranty

The standard published coverage is 1 year for consumer use and 1 year for commercial use. An extended 3-year factory warranty is available, and the True Blue 5-Year Warranty applies when the machine is commissioned through a Quincy-authorized startup, subject to the manufacturer's applicable terms and conditions.

Because authorized startup is a condition of the extended coverage, arrange it before the first production run, not afterward.

If a fault develops, contact us before disassembling the airend, dryer circuit, motor or other major components. Opening the equipment before a claim has been evaluated can make the cause of the failure difficult to establish and may affect warranty eligibility.
