The QT MAX 10 HP is built for shops that need compressed air for as long as the work demands it. Unlike compressors designed to run only part of each hour, this model carries a 100% duty cycle rating, allowing it to operate continuously without a scheduled cool-down period. It combines a splash-lubricated cast-iron two-stage pump, 35 CFM at 175 PSI, a 120-gallon vertical ASME receiver, and a 10 HP motor with a factory-fitted magnetic starter. Note: this configuration requires 230V, 3-phase power.
The 100% rating is supported by a pump designed for sustained operation rather than short bursts. Its two-stage compression and deliberately modest operating speed help control heat while maintaining the output needed for demanding shop applications. The large receiver stores compressed air for periods of higher demand, while the 35 CFM output provides steady supply for multiple technicians using air tools or for equipment with sustained consumption. A magnetic starter with thermal overload protection adds another layer of protection when the motor is working hard.
This compressor is suited to independent automotive repair shops, tire and fleet operations, fabrication facilities, and other commercial shops that regularly put their compressor under extended load. Its vertical receiver keeps the floor footprint relatively compact at approximately 40" × 30", but the machine stands around 75" tall and weighs roughly 1,000 lbs. Plan for a level, solid concrete pad, sufficient cooling clearance and a delivery route that can accommodate the height and weight.
Two details should be confirmed before ordering. Available product information lists two different model codes, 4103D12VCB23M and 2103D12VCB23M, so provide the code from your paperwork and we will verify the exact build. The information also conflicts on whether an automatic electronic tank drain is fitted: the feature list says yes, while the specification field says no. If the drain configuration matters to your installation, ask us to confirm it in writing before purchase. Electrical installation and circuit sizing should be handled by a certified electrician based on the site's service and local code.
Two discrepancies to confirm before ordering
Model code. Our product title, description heading and specifications list 4103D12VCB23M, while the page URL and one paragraph list 2103D12VCB23M. We will not guess. Send us the model code on your paperwork and we will confirm the exact build before ordering.
Automatic tank drain. The feature list and description say an automatic electronic drain is included, while the specification field says it is not. If the drain matters to your installation, ask us to confirm the as-shipped configuration in writing.
What 100% duty cycle means
A 100% duty cycle means the compressor is designed to pump continuously without requiring scheduled cooling breaks. This design uses increased cooling capacity, a larger oil reservoir and a slower-running pump to manage heat during extended operation.
Quincy rates the pump for approximately 50,000 hours, assuming proper maintenance such as regular oil changes, clean coolers and a maintained intake filter. A continuous-duty rating means you can work the machine hard—it does not eliminate maintenance.
Sizing and installation
At 35 CFM and 175 PSI, this compressor can support multiple air tools or sustained applications such as blasting and spray equipment, while the 120-gallon receiver helps handle demand peaks.
The vertical unit measures approximately 40" × 30" × 75" and weighs 1,000 lbs. Check ceiling height, doorways and the entire delivery route before ordering. Install it on level, solid concrete with adequate clearance for cooling airflow and service access.
Power is 230V, 3-phase. The factory-installed magnetic starter includes thermal overload protection. Quincy recommends having a certified electrician determine the breaker and conductor sizing based on the installation and local code.

What's In The Box
The factory-assembled package includes the two-stage pump, motor, belt drive and guard, 120-gallon vertical receiver, aftercooler, intercooler, magnetic starter, low-oil cutoff and oil sight glass.
The buyer supplies the electrical feed and disconnect, downstream piping, additional filtration or drying, vibration pads and first-service consumables. The EWK-4 Maintenance Kit is sold separately and is required for the extended warranty option. No air dryer is included.
Certification, stated honestly
Quincy lists an ASME tank with UL and CSA marks. These certifications apply to the equipment as manufactured, not to the installation.
Your electrician is responsible for verifying the feeder, disconnect, overcurrent protection and ventilation requirements. If your insurer or local authority requires additional documentation, ask us before ordering so we can obtain it from the manufacturer.
Shipping and Delivery
This compressor ships by freight to the lower 48 states, with shipping calculated at checkout. Residential deliveries may incur an additional fee.
At approximately 1,000 lbs, unloading requires a suitable forklift or loading dock, or you can arrange terminal pickup. Inspect the crate and compressor before signing and document any damage on the bill of lading.
Warranty
Standard coverage is a 1-year factory warranty. Purchasing the EWK-4 Maintenance Kit with the compressor and registering it within the required period extends coverage to 2 years, with a 3-year pump warranty including on-site parts and labor.
Warranty terms can change, so confirm the current requirements before purchase. If you have a warranty issue, contact us before disassembling the pump, motor or starter. Keep all parts and document the issue with photographs.
