The QT Pro 10 HP is built for industrial installations where the receiver certification and electrical configuration need to be clear from the start. It combines a 120-gallon ASME-certified vertical receiver with a two-stage cast-iron pump, 1,750 RPM belt drive and a 460V, 3-phase motor. The pump is rated for more than 50,000 hours of service and up to 175 PSI, while the ASME receiver includes the required pressure relief valve and discharge arrangement. Note: this configuration requires 460V, 3-phase power.
The two-stage pump uses a high-efficiency finned intercooler between the cylinders to control interstage temperatures before the air reaches final pressure. Its cast-iron construction, aluminum heads and two-piece connecting rods are designed for long-term service, while splash lubrication keeps the pump straightforward to maintain. This configuration does not include an aftercooler, electronic tank drain or low-oil shut-off, so receiver drainage and oil-level checks remain manual maintenance tasks. If your application requires drier air, plan for downstream air treatment separately.
This model is a practical fit for manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, fleet operations and commercial shops that already have 460V three-phase distribution and need a documented pressure-vessel configuration. The vertical package occupies approximately 40" × 30" of floor space, stands about 75" tall and weighs roughly 1,000 lbs dry. Plan for a solid, level slab capable of supporting and anchoring the machine, adequate headroom for service work, sufficient ventilation and a delivery route that can accommodate the equipment. The 1" outlet should also be considered when designing the shop's air header.
The factory-fitted magnetic starter with thermal overload protection helps protect the motor during overload conditions. Quincy does not publish a fixed breaker size for this model; have a certified electrician size the feeder, disconnect and overcurrent protection for your specific 460V service and installation. Permitting, electrical work, site preparation, downstream piping and air treatment are separate installation responsibilities.
The Receiver and Its Certification
The 120-gallon receiver is an ASME-certified pressure vessel with the required safety fittings. This documentation is useful for plant safety audits, insurance inspections and sites that maintain a pressure-vessel register.
Commissioning a 460V Machine
This model requires 460V, 3-phase power and is factory-wired for that voltage. The motor and magnetic starter are not designed for field conversion.
Have a certified electrician verify the available voltage before ordering. Quincy does not publish a fixed breaker size because conductor and overcurrent requirements depend on the installation, run length and local code.
Installing a Tall Vertical Package
The compressor measures approximately 40" × 30" × 75" and weighs 1,000 lbs dry.
Before delivery, confirm:
- A level, load-bearing slab suitable for anchoring.
- Enough headroom for the machine and future pump service.
- Doorway and delivery-route clearance.
- Adequate ventilation for the 10 HP motor and pump.
-
Properly sized piping from the 1" tank outlet.
Where the QT Pro Fits
This QT Pro configuration is a simpler package with no aftercooler, electronic drain valve or low-oil cutoff. The finned intercooler provides cooling between compression stages, while receiver draining and oil-level checks are manual.
Perfect For
- Manufacturing facilities with 460V three-phase power.
- Sites requiring a documented, code-certified receiver.
- Installations with long electrical runs.
-
Plant rooms with limited floor space but sufficient ceiling height.

Certification, stated plainly
The pressure vessel is ASME certified, and the machine also carries a CSA mark. Our supplier records mention an additional North American third-party electrical listing, but we have not confirmed it on this specific unit, so we will not claim it.
If your insurer or inspector requires a specific electrical listing, contact us and we will verify the markings on the data plate before purchase.
Shipping and Delivery
This compressor ships by freight to the lower 48 states on a skid. Have a forklift or loading dock ready for unloading, or arrange terminal pickup.
Residential deliveries may incur an additional fee. Let us know the delivery type when ordering.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Photograph any damage and record it on the bill of lading while the driver is present.
Warranty
The compressor includes a 1-year factory warranty for consumer and commercial use. Purchasing the EWK-4 Maintenance Kit with the compressor and registering the unit with Quincy extends coverage to the 3-year "No Bull" warranty, including on-site service and labor.
If you suspect a warranty issue, contact us before disassembly. Keep the unit intact and document the problem with photographs to protect your claim.
