The 25 HP QGS delivers higher compressor capacity without increasing the footprint of the smaller versions in this package. It measures 74" long, 30.7" wide and 72.2" tall and uses a 132-gallon horizontal receiver, making it a practical way to add air capacity without changing an existing QGS installation area. The oil-injected twin screw airend is rated for a 100% duty cycle, while the gear-driven transmission and TEFC motor are built for continuous commercial operation. Note: requires 208-230/460V, 3-phase power.

The gear drive transfers motor power directly through a geared transmission rather than a belt system, eliminating routine belt tension checks and replacement. Premium synthetic lubrication is specified for 8,000 hours, with a spin-on fluid filter, air filter and oil sight glass supporting routine maintenance. The TEFC motor carries IP 55 wash-down protection, and Wye-Delta reduced-voltage starting helps control electrical inrush. Low-oil shutdown is fitted on both the engine and pump to protect the compressor if lubrication falls below the required level.

The Infologic2 Basic controller adds useful operating and expansion controls, including programmable auto-restart, remote start/stop and sequencing for up to six QGS compressors in the 20–30 HP range. That allows this 25 HP unit to operate as part of a coordinated compressor group if air demand grows later. The display provides operating information including pressure, temperature, dewpoint and motor start limits. An aftercooler is specified, but published information conflicts on whether an integrated refrigerated dryer is included, so confirm the dryer configuration with us before ordering if it is important to your application.

This package is suited to production shops, fabrication facilities, machining operations and heavy automotive applications where several air-consuming tools may operate simultaneously. It is also appropriate for facilities planning a future sequenced compressor installation. The 1" receiver outlet should be considered when sizing distribution piping. Allow adequate clearance around the hinged and removable service panels, and have a licensed electrician size the electrical service, feeder and disconnect from the machine nameplate; Quincy does not publish a fixed amp or breaker requirement.

Confirm the Air Dryer Before Ordering

Published information conflicts on the integrated refrigerated dryer. The manufacturer's feature list and marketing description say one is included, while the specification table says “No.”

If air drying is important, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the current factory configuration. The unit does include an aftercooler, which reduces discharge temperature and removes bulk moisture, but it does not provide the same dewpoint as a refrigerated dryer.
