The QT MAX 5 HP air compressor is built for shops that need to pair reliable compressed air with a refrigerated dryer. The aftercooler is the key advantage for moisture-sensitive compressed-air systems. Why the Aftercooler Matters

Compressed air leaves the pump hot and moisture-laden. The air-cooled aftercooler reduces the temperature before air enters the receiver, causing much of the moisture to condense in the tank instead of downstream piping.

This helps reduce water and corrosion and allows a refrigerated dryer to work more efficiently. An aftercooler does not replace a refrigerated dryer when genuinely dry air is required.
