The QT Pro 7.5 HP air compressor is built for shops that need high-capacity compressed air without the height of a vertical receiver. Its horizontal 80-gallon tank keeps the overall machine to approximately 47" tall, making it suitable for low-ceiling workshops, mezzanines, and bays with overhead door tracks. A two-cylinder cast iron QT-7.5 belt-drive pump operates at 175 PSI with a 100% duty rating, while the 7.5 HP industrial motor runs on 230V 1-Phase power. An 80 Amp breaker is specified for this configuration.
The 100% duty rating is the key feature for continuous-demand applications. The compressor is designed to keep working without a required rest period, supported by cast iron cylinders, industrial-class bearings, a balanced crankshaft, and a large cast iron flywheel that helps move cooling air across the pump. A finned tube intercooler cools the air between compression stages, helping the second stage compress cooler, denser air while reducing heat and carbon buildup. Stainless steel reed valves, graphite gaskets, two-piece connecting rods, and a slower-running motor further support operation under sustained loads. This model does not include a low-oil shutdown, so regularly checking the oil sight glass is important.
This compressor is a practical choice for low-ceiling commercial shops, single-phase facilities, and operations with continuous air demand. It can suit applications such as spraying, blasting, production air, and busy service environments where the compressor may need to run for extended periods. The horizontal layout is especially useful when floor space is available but vertical clearance is limited, while the 230V single-phase motor avoids the need for a three-phase electrical installation.
Confirm Air Delivery Before Ordering
This page does not provide a CFM rating, and the supplied descriptions conflict on horsepower and air delivery. Since CFM determines system sizing, tell us your application and working pressure before ordering so we can confirm the manufacturer's rated delivery in writing.
This build also does not include low-oil shutdown. The oil sight glass is provided, so include regular oil checks in your maintenance schedule.
Will It Fit?
This horizontal compressor measures approximately 70" L × 23" W × 47" H, making it a good fit for low-ceiling shops, under shelving, or along a wall. The belt guard, sight glass, drain, and outlet remain accessible at standing height.
The tradeoff is floor space. A vertical 80-gallon model uses less floor area but requires more headroom.
At 740 lb, plan the delivery route, final location, and floor capacity in advance.
Electrical requirements are listed as an 80A breaker on 230V single-phase. A qualified electrician should confirm conductor sizing and disconnect requirements based on the actual installation, cable length, ambient conditions, and local code.
100% Duty Cycle
A 100% duty rating means the compressor is designed for continuous operation without a required off period.
That makes it suitable for steady-demand applications such as spraying, blasting, production air, and busy service bays.
Cooling & Pump Design
The two-stage pump uses a high-efficiency finned-tube intercooler between stages to reduce compression heat and support efficient second-stage operation.
The cast-iron cylinders, industrial bearings, balanced crankshaft, large cast-iron flywheel, stainless-steel reed valves, graphite gaskets, and two-piece connecting rods are built for durability under extended operation.
The 7.5 HP capacitor-start industrial motor includes thermal overload protection and operates at a lower speed than typical general-purpose motors, supporting cooler and quieter operation.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The data lists UL and CSA approval for the electrical components, ASME certification for the receiver, and describes the machine as built in the U.S.A. We make no additional certification claims.
These do not constitute a third-party safety listing for the complete assembled machine. If your insurer, inspector, or corporate standard requires that specific listing, ask us before ordering so we can confirm the available documentation with the manufacturer.
Shipping & Delivery
Ships freight throughout the lower 48, with shipping calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
At 740 lb and 70" long, arrange a forklift or loading dock, or consider terminal pickup. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect before signing. Check the crate, tank, gauges, and starter enclosure. Photograph and record any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is present. A clean signed receipt can make freight damage claims difficult.
Warranty
A 1-Year factory warranty applies. Quincy's 3-Year “No Bull” warranty requires the EWK-3 maintenance kit to be purchased with the compressor and the unit to be registered with Quincy. The extension includes on-site labor and service and cannot be added later.
