The QT Pro 7.5 HP air compressor delivers the capacity of a full-size two-stage industrial compressor while running on 230V single-phase power. Its cast iron QT-7.5 belt-drive pump is paired with a vertical 80-gallon receiver and rated for a 100% duty cycle, making it a practical alternative for facilities that need 7.5 HP but do not have three-phase service. Quincy specifies an 80 Amp breaker, so confirm your electrical panel can support the required circuit before ordering.
The pump uses a two-stage compression design with a high-efficiency finned tube intercooler between stages. Cooling the air before the second stage helps reduce operating temperatures while allowing the compressor to reach its 175 PSI working pressure. The cast iron pump uses an aluminum head, stainless steel reed valves, industrial-class bearings, graphite gaskets, and two-piece connecting rods for durability and serviceability. A balanced cast iron flywheel helps smooth pump operation while its fan design moves cooling air across the pump and intercooler. The industrial motor includes capacitor start and thermal overload protection, supporting the compressor during extended operation.
This configuration is ideal for independent automotive shops, body and paint operations, restoration garages, fabrication shops, and serious home workshops that need sustained compressed-air capacity but only have single-phase power available. The vertical receiver occupies roughly 37" × 24" of floor space, making it a good fit where floor area is limited, although the approximately 74" overall height requires adequate ceiling clearance. It is especially useful for customers outgrowing smaller single-stage compressors who want two-stage performance without installing three-phase service.
The 80 Amp Circuit Is the Real Decision
Quincy specifies an 80A breaker for this compressor. That is a substantial single-phase load, so confirm with a qualified electrician that your panel can support it before ordering.
Single-phase motors require more current than comparable three-phase motors, which means greater demand on your panel and wiring. The compressor includes a factory-mounted magnetic starter with contactor and overload protection.
Made in the USA, Built for Service
The manufacturer states this compressor is built in the USA. It uses a cast-iron QT-7.5 two-stage belt-drive pump with an aluminum head, industrial-class bearings, graphite gaskets, stainless-steel reed valves, and two-piece connecting rods.
The stainless-steel valves resist corrosion and controlled lift reduces wear. The two-piece rods also simplify bearing service without requiring complete bottom-end disassembly.
Why Vertical?
The vertical receiver uses approximately 37" × 24" of floor space, making it a strong choice when floor area is limited.
The tradeoff is height: approximately 74" tall. Check clearance for lighting, ductwork, sprinklers, mezzanines, and roll-up doors, while allowing room for maintenance access.
At approximately 720 lb, install it on a flat, solid, level surface and secure it properly.
Two-Stage Cooling
The pump compresses air in two stages, with a high-efficiency finned-tube intercooler between them. Cooling the air before the second stage helps control compression heat and supports reliable operation at 175 PSI.
The balanced cast-iron flywheel smooths pump operation while its fan design helps move cooling air across the pump and intercooler.
The heavy-duty industrial motor features capacitor start and built-in thermal overload protection and operates at a lower speed than typical light-duty compressor motors.
Perfect For
- Shops without three-phase power
- Body, paint, and restoration work
- Serious private and collector workshops
- Small fabrication shops with limited floor space
- Users outgrowing single-stage compressors

Certification, Stated Plainly
The product information lists UL and CSA approvals for the electrical components and ASME certification for the pressure vessel. These apply to the components and tank respectively and do not certify your installation.
If your insurer or local authority requires a specific listing or inspection for the receiver, verify the requirement against the machine's data plate before ordering. We can provide the manufacturer's available documentation.
Warranty
A 1-Year factory warranty applies and may extend to Quincy's 3-Year “No Bull” warranty under the manufacturer's program and registration requirements. We will confirm the exact conditions for this model before ordering.

Freight & Delivery
Ships palletized freight throughout the lower 48, with shipping calculated at checkout. At approximately 720 lb, plan for a forklift or pallet jack at delivery. Terminal pickup with a suitable trailer may be used when site unloading equipment is unavailable. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect before signing. Check the tank, pump, belt guard, motor, and pallet. Photograph any damage and record it on the bill of lading with the driver present. A clean signed receipt can make freight damage claims difficult.
