The Quincy QT MAX 7.5 HP delivers 22.6 CFM at 175 PSI from a two-stage cast-iron pump, paired with an 80-gallon vertical ASME-certified receiver and a 460V three-phase motor. Its biggest advantage is that the compressor is built in the USA and designed with serviceability in mind, using components such as cast-iron cylinders, aluminum heads, belt drive, and two-piece connecting rods. That construction makes the pump practical to maintain and rebuild rather than treating the compressor as disposable equipment. Note: the unit measures approximately 37" × 24" × 74", weighs 720 lbs, and requires 460V three-phase power; verify electrical service and ceiling clearance before installation.
The pump combines two-stage compression with active heat and moisture management. A high-efficiency finned intercooler cools the air between stages, while the air-cooled aftercooler lowers discharge temperature after compression so moisture can condense before it reaches your air lines. An automatic tank drain then removes condensate from the receiver without relying on manual draining. The splash-lubricated pump also includes an extra-capacity oil reserve and low-oil protection, which shuts the compressor down if the oil level drops too far and helps prevent damage from inadequate lubrication. A magnetic starter provides thermal overload protection and controlled motor starting.
This configuration is a strong fit for manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, multi-shift operations, and maintenance departments with 460V three-phase distribution. It makes particular sense for businesses that maintain their own equipment and value a compressor that can be serviced and rebuilt over time. The vertical receiver keeps the footprint to roughly 37" × 24", making efficient use of floor space, while the 74" height means ceiling clearance should be checked before delivery. For facilities with long electrical runs, the 460V configuration also allows the 7.5 HP motor to operate at lower current than equivalent lower-voltage versions.
Designed to Be Rebuilt
This machine is built for serviceability: cast-iron cylinders, aluminium heads, belt drive, and two-piece connecting rods. The pump can be opened, inspected, rebuilt, and returned to service rather than treated as disposable equipment.
Its USA-built construction also matters for long-term serviceability, since rebuilds depend on replacement parts remaining available.
460V Electrical Requirements
A 7.5 HP 460V motor draws roughly half the current of the same motor at lower voltage, allowing smaller conductors and reducing voltage drop on long runs. If your facility distributes 460V, this configuration is a strong fit.
This unit cannot be converted to lower voltage. Confirm your electrical service before ordering. Quincy does not specify a fixed breaker size; a qualified electrician must size the circuit based on the installation and local code.
A magnetic starter with thermal overload protection is included. Wiring, disconnects, permits, and site preparation are the customer's responsibility.
Heat & Moisture Control
A finned intercooler cools air between stages, while the air-cooled aftercooler reduces discharge temperature and helps condense moisture before it reaches your air system. The automatic tank drain removes condensate from the receiver.
Oil Protection
The splash-lubricated pump uses an oversized oil reservoir and low-oil protection that stops the compressor if oil falls below a safe level.
Will It Fit?
The vertical 80-gallon unit measures 37" L × 24" W × 74" H and weighs approximately 720 lb.
Allow clearance above the compressor for servicing the head and belts. Install it on a flat, level, load-bearing surface with access to the tank drain.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The receiver is ASME certified, and the manufacturer's data lists CSA marking. These have different scopes: ASME applies to the pressure vessel, while electrical safety markings apply to the motor and controls. One does not establish the other.
The USA-built designation describes where the compressor is manufactured, not a certification.
When the unit arrives, verify the markings on the data plate. If your inspector, insurer, local code, or corporate standard requires a specific listing, confirm it before installation.
Shipping & Delivery
Ships by freight throughout the lower 48. At approximately 720 lb, the upright pallet requires a forklift, loading dock, or prearranged terminal pickup. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect before signing. Check the guards, aftercooler, drain fittings, and receiver bracing. Record any damage on the bill of lading with the driver present. Freight claims are difficult to recover after a clean signature.
Warranty
The compressor includes a 1-Year factory warranty and may qualify for Quincy's 3-Year “No Bull” warranty when manufacturer conditions are met. These generally require purchasing the matching maintenance kit with the compressor and registering the unit. Arrange both at the time of purchase; the warranty documentation supplied with the machine governs.
