The Quincy QT Pro 7.5 HP compressor delivers 22.6 CFM at 175 PSI from an 80-gallon horizontal receiver, with a 100% duty cycle for demanding, continuous-use applications. This version is specifically built for 230V 3-phase power—the motor is not multi-voltage, so the available phase-to-phase supply must match the compressor's nameplate voltage before ordering. The horizontal tank measures approximately 70" L × 23" W × 47" H, making it a practical option where ceiling height is limited.
The two-stage cast iron pump uses a large first-stage cylinder, finned intercooler, and smaller second-stage cylinder to compress air in two steps while reducing heat between stages. A heavy cast iron flywheel helps cool the pump and smooth operation, while the belt drive keeps pump speed below motor speed. Combined with splash lubrication and a 100% duty cycle, this design is suited to sustained air demand rather than short bursts. A magnetic starter is included, while site-specific electrical protection and circuit sizing should be determined by a qualified electrician.
This compressor is a strong choice for established automotive repair shops, multi-bay service facilities, paint and body operations, and metal fabrication shops running multiple air tools or equipment for extended periods. The horizontal configuration is also useful in buildings with low ceilings, mezzanines, or overhead ductwork. Allow additional room around the approximately 740-lb unit for ventilation, service access, and belt-guard removal. The 3/4" tank outlet provides the starting point for your shop's air piping and distribution system.
Read This Before Ordering
Tank orientation. The model code, orientation field, and published dimensions—approximately 70" L × 23" W × 47" H—describe a horizontal receiver, although an older description called it vertical. Because orientation affects installation, ask us to confirm it with Quincy in writing before ordering.
Automatic drain & low-oil shutdown. Earlier copy mentioned both, but the current specification lists neither. Plan to drain the receiver manually and check the oil through the sight glass. An automatic drain can be quoted separately.
The page URL also shows a model code different from 473DS80HCB23. Send us the code on your quote and we'll confirm the exact build before shipment.
Choosing the Right Voltage
This model requires 230V 3-Phase power. Before ordering, confirm the phase-to-phase voltage at your panel, available capacity, and the circuit requirements with a qualified electrician.
Quincy does not publish a fixed breaker size and recommends consulting a certified electrician. A magnetic starter is included.
Two-Stage Pump & Intercooler
The two-stage pump compresses air in a large cylinder, cools it through a finned intercooler, then finishes compression in the smaller cylinder at 175 PSI.
The pump uses cast-iron cylinders, aluminum heads, a balanced cast-iron flywheel, belt drive, and splash lubrication. Its slow pump speed and serviceable construction are designed for long industrial service.
Will It Fit?
Allow approximately 70" × 23" of floor space, plus room for access and belt-guard service. At about 47" tall, the horizontal design works well under shelving or mezzanines.
The compressor weighs approximately 740 lb and requires a level, load-bearing concrete surface with adequate airflow around the pump. Do not enclose it in a cabinet or confined space.
The tank outlet is 3/4".

Certification, Stated Plainly
Quincy lists ASME certification for the pressure vessel and UL and CSA recognition for the electrical components. These cover different parts of the equipment and do not replace local inspection or insurer requirements.
If a specific listing or filing is required, verify it against the machine's data plate before ordering. We can provide the manufacturer documentation published by Quincy.
Warranty
The compressor includes a 1-Year factory warranty and may qualify for Quincy's 3-Year “No Bull” warranty, subject to the manufacturer's conditions, including registration. We'll confirm the requirements for this model before purchase.

Freight & Delivery
At approximately 740 lb, the compressor ships by palletized freight throughout the lower 48. Plan for a forklift or pallet jack, or arrange terminal pickup with a suitable trailer. Residential delivery carries an additional fee. Freight is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
Inspect before signing. Check the tank, belt guard, motor, and pallet. Record any damage on the bill of lading with the driver present. A clean signed receipt can make freight claims difficult.
