The Electrical Case, Explained Properly
Voltage choice is more than a checkbox — it affects installation cost. For the same power output, a higher-voltage motor draws less current, and current is what drives much of the electrical installation cost: conductor size, conduit requirements, breaker capacity and labour on longer runs.
On a 10 HP motor, the difference can determine whether an existing circuit is usable or whether a new supply has to be installed. Higher voltage can also improve starting performance by reducing voltage drop during motor inrush, especially on longer runs.
What voltage does not change is the compressor itself. Capacity, receiver size, working pressure and duty rating remain the same across the family. Choose the build that matches the electrical service already available at your site.
Why Two-Stage Compression Matters
A two-stage compressor compresses air in two steps: a large cylinder handles the first stage, then a smaller cylinder completes compression after the air passes through a high-efficiency fin-and-tube intercooler.
That cooling step is the reason two-stage designs are efficient. Compression creates heat, and feeding hot air into the second stage increases the work required and raises discharge temperatures. Cooling the air between stages gives the second cylinder a denser charge, reducing energy demand and thermal stress on the valves, gaskets and oil.

Two Specifications to Confirm Before Ordering
Published information differs on two points. We are showing both versions rather than guessing.
Pump lubrication. The manufacturer feature list and page description call this a fully pressure-lubricated system with a positive-displacement oil pump feeding the crankshaft, bearings and rods. The specification data lists splash lubrication instead. These are different systems. If lubrication type matters to your purchase, ask us to confirm the as-shipped configuration with Quincy in writing before ordering.
Tank drain. The feature list and specification table list an automatic electronic tank drain, while another specification line says it is not fitted. Ask us to confirm this with Quincy before ordering.
These discrepancies do not affect the published capacity, receiver, electrical supply or warranty.
Certification, Stated Plainly
The specification sheet lists ASME, UL and CSA marks. Their scopes are different:

Shipping & Delivery
Ships by freight within the lower 48 states, with shipping calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
Plan for unloading with a forklift or loading dock. If neither is available, terminal pickup is an alternative. Residential deliveries incur a residential fee where applicable.
Inspect the compressor before signing. Photograph any damage and record it on the bill of lading while the driver is present. This is especially important for damaged guards, gauges, oil leaks or receiver dents.
Warranty
Quincy provides a 1-year factory warranty, extending to the 3-year No Bull warranty when the unit is registered with Quincy and maintained using Quincy kits.
Register the compressor as part of commissioning. If a problem occurs, contact us before opening or disassembling the pump or starter. A dismantled machine can make diagnosis and warranty evaluation difficult.
