The intercooler cools air before it enters the second stage, while the aftercooler lowers discharge temperature before the air reaches the receiver, helping moisture condense at the machine instead of throughout the shop piping. A magnetic starter with thermal overload, low-oil shutdown, oil sight glass, and spin-on oil filter provide straightforward protection for the motor and pump during extended operation.
