The Quincy QP Pro 5 HP compressor is built around the feature that separates this line from less expensive splash-lubricated models: a fully pressure-lubricated pump that Quincy rates for up to 15% longer life than a comparable splash-lubricated design. A Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump delivers pressurized oil to the crankshaft, bearings, and rods, while a spin-on filter keeps the lubricant clean. The package includes an 80-gallon vertical ASME receiver, cast-iron cylinders with aluminum heads, and a factory magnetic starter. This version operates on 230V 3-phase power.
The pressure-lubrication system replaces the variable oil distribution of a splash-lubricated pump with a controlled supply delivered through the pump's internal oil passages. That means critical moving components receive oil under pressure throughout operation, supporting the pump's durability during extended use. A fin-and-tube intercooler lowers the air temperature between compression stages, reducing the heat the second stage must handle. Stainless steel reed valves with valve bumpers are designed to withstand repeated cycling, while graphite cylinder and head gaskets maintain their seal through the pump's thermal cycles. The electronically balanced cast-iron flywheel also helps keep vibration under control during operation.
This compressor is a practical choice for automotive service shops, light manufacturing facilities, assembly operations, and three-phase workshops that need a steady compressed-air supply without giving up valuable floor space. The vertical receiver keeps the footprint to approximately 37" × 24", while the complete unit stands about 74" tall and weighs 680 lbs. Make sure your installation has sufficient ceiling clearance and a suitable 230V 3-phase supply before ordering. This model does not include an aftercooler, so applications requiring cooler, drier discharge air will need appropriate downstream filtration and drying equipment.
One Thing to Check With Us First
The part number. This listing shows two model codes:
-
553DS80VCA23 — product title and specification record
-
353DS80VCA23 — web address
Send us the code on your quote before ordering, and we will confirm the correct build with the manufacturer.
Air delivery also needs confirmation. Published CFM figures conflict between the specification record and summary text. Because CFM determines system sizing, ask us for the manufacturer’s rated delivery at your working pressure before ordering.
Will It Fit, and Can You Feed It?
-
Footprint: 37" W × 24" D
-
Height: 74" — allow additional clearance for the pump and oil service.
-
Weight: 680 lbs
-
Power: 230V three-phase
-
Receiver: 80 gallons
-
Starter: Magnetic starter included
Breaker sizing is not published; a certified electrician should determine the correct protection based on the cable run, ambient conditions and existing electrical load.
This is a three-phase machine. If your facility only has single-phase power, ask us about the equivalent single-phase configuration.
Verify ceiling clearance, delivery access, floor capacity and incoming power before ordering.
What Pressure Lubrication Changes
This pump uses a Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump to deliver oil under pressure through internal passages to the crankshaft, bearings and connecting rods.
Quincy rates the pressure-lubricated design at up to 15% longer life than a splash-lubricated pump. Proper oil and filter maintenance is required to maintain the system as designed.
Cooling, Sealing & Balance
A high-efficiency fin-and-tube intercooler reduces air temperature between the two compression stages. Stainless steel reed valves with valve bumpers help control valve movement, while graphite cylinder and head gaskets maintain sealing through repeated heat cycles.
The electronically balanced cast-iron flywheel provides smooth operation while also moving cooling air across the pump.
Important: This configuration has no aftercooler. Air leaving the receiver will contain heat and moisture, so downstream filtration and drying should be planned separately, especially for paint or other moisture-sensitive applications.
Perfect For
-
Three-phase workshops running extended shifts
-
Automotive service facilities with multiple bays
-
Light manufacturing and assembly requiring steady compressed air
-
Space-limited shops with adequate ceiling height

Certification, Stated Plainly
Our certification records list ASME, UL and CSA for this product. These are receiver- and component-level certifications; our records do not show a third-party safety listing for the complete assembled machine.
If your insurer, local authority or corporate standard requires certification for the complete unit, tell us before ordering and we will request the applicable documentation from the manufacturer.
Shipping & Delivery
Ships by freight within the lower 48 states, with shipping calculated at checkout for your delivery ZIP code.
The 680 lb unit requires appropriate unloading equipment, such as a forklift or loading dock. Terminal pickup is also an option. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect the crate, tank, gauges and motor shroud before signing. Record any damage on the bill of lading while the driver is present.
Warranty
Includes a 1-year factory warranty, extendable to Quincy’s 3-Year “No Bull” warranty when the EWK-6 maintenance kit is purchased with the compressor and the unit is registered with Quincy. The extended coverage includes on-site labor and service, subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
The warranty documentation is available on the manual tab. The EWK-6 kit cannot be added later, so include it with the original order if you want the extended coverage.
