The Quincy QP Pro 5 HP compressor is configured for 460V 3-phase power, so confirming your building's electrical service is the first step before ordering. This is a dedicated 460V configuration rather than a casually interchangeable voltage option. Where 460V distribution is already available, the higher supply voltage can reduce current requirements for the same motor output, which can help limit conductor and electrical component sizing on longer runs. The QP Pro package combines a fully pressure-lubricated cast-iron pump, aluminum heads, an 80-gallon vertical ASME receiver, and a factory magnetic starter.
The pump's Gerotor positive-displacement oil system delivers a measured flow of lubricant under pressure to the crankshaft, bearings, and connecting rods instead of relying on splash lubrication. A spin-on filter cleans the circulating oil, supporting the system's long-term operation. Quincy states that this pressure-lubricated design can provide up to 15% longer life than a splash-lubricated equivalent. A fin-and-tube intercooler reduces air temperature between compression stages, while stainless steel reed valves with bumpers are designed to withstand repeated cycling. The electronically balanced, fan-type cast-iron flywheel also contributes to cooling by moving air across the intercooler, cylinders, and heads while the pump operates.
This compressor is suited to industrial plants, fabrication and machine shops, and multi-bay service operations with existing 460V 3-phase service and sustained compressed-air requirements. The vertical receiver keeps the footprint to approximately 37" × 24", while the unit stands about 74" tall and weighs 680 lbs, so verify ceiling clearance, access, floor loading, and ventilation before delivery. This model does not have an aftercooler, meaning moisture and discharge-air cooling must be handled downstream where the application requires it. Breaker, conductor, and disconnect sizing should be determined by a certified electrician based on the actual installation.
Please Confirm the Part Number With Us
This listing carries two model codes:
-
553DS80VCA46 — product title and specification block
-
353DS80VCA46 — page URL
Because the part number identifies the voltage and configuration, send us the code on your quotation or purchase order before ordering. We will confirm the correct build, voltage and starter with the manufacturer.
Air delivery also requires confirmation. Published CFM figures conflict, so ask us for the manufacturer’s rated delivery at your working pressure before ordering.

Pressure Lubrication
The QP Pro system uses a Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump to deliver oil under pressure through internal passages to the crankshaft, bearings and connecting rods. A spin-on oil filter cleans the circulating oil.
Quincy states up to 15% longer life compared with a splash-lubricated design. Follow the recommended oil and filter maintenance schedule to maintain the system as designed.
Heat, Valves & Vibration
A fin-and-tube intercooler cools the air between compression stages. Stainless steel reed valves with bumpers help control valve movement and withstand repeated cycling.
Graphite cylinder and head gaskets provide sealing through repeated heat cycles. The electronically balanced, fan-type cast-iron flywheel provides smooth operation while moving cooling air across the pump.
Important: This model has no aftercooler. Air leaving the receiver will contain heat and moisture, so downstream filtration and drying should be planned separately for applications such as painting, instrumentation or plasma cutting.
Perfect For
-
Industrial facilities with existing 460V three-phase service
-
Fabrication and machine shops with sustained air demand
-
Multi-bay service operations where downtime matters
-
Facilities with long electrical runs, where higher voltage can reduce current and installation requirements

Certification, Stated Plainly
The certification field lists ASME, UL and CSA. These apply to the receiver and electrical components; we do not claim a third-party safety listing for the complete assembled machine.
If your plant, inspector or insurer requires certification for the complete unit, confirm the requirement with us before ordering and we will request the appropriate documentation from the manufacturer.
Shipping & Delivery
Lower-48 freight is calculated live at checkout based on your delivery address.
At 680 lb, plan for unloading with a forklift or dock. If neither is available, carrier-terminal pickup may be simpler than residential delivery, which carries an additional fee.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Check the tank, gauges and starter enclosure, and record any damage or concerns on the bill of lading before signing.
Warranty
The machine includes a 1-year factory warranty. Quincy’s 3-Year “No Bull” extension is available when the EWK-6 maintenance kit is purchased with the compressor and the unit is registered at quincycompressor.com. The extension includes on-site and labor service.
Full terms are provided in the warranty document under the manual tab. The EWK-6 kit cannot be added after purchase.
