The Quincy QP Pro 7.5 HP compressor combines a pressure-lubricated, two-stage cast-iron pump with an 80-gallon vertical receiver and a 175 PSI maximum working pressure. Its standout advantage is the QP Pro lubrication system: a Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump delivers pressurized oil to the crankshaft, bearings, and rods, while a spin-on filter keeps the circulating oil cleaner. Quincy states that this design can provide up to 15% longer life than a comparable splash-lubricated pump. This version is configured for 460V 3-phase power, making it appropriate for facilities that already have that electrical service.
The lubrication system is supported by a pump designed to manage heat and repeated cycling. The fin-and-tube intercooler lowers air temperature between compression stages, allowing the second-stage cylinder to compress cooler, denser air. Stainless steel reed valves use valve bumpers to control reed movement, while graphite cylinder and head gaskets maintain sealing through the temperature changes associated with operation. An electronically balanced, fan-type cast-iron flywheel moves cooling air across the intercooler, cylinders, and heads while the pump runs. A factory magnetic starter is included to control motor starting and provide thermal overload protection.
This compressor is a good fit for industrial plants, fabrication shops, production facilities, and other operations with existing 460V 3-phase distribution and regular compressed-air demand. The vertical receiver occupies approximately 37" × 24" of floor space and stands about 74" tall, with a total weight of 720 lbs. Confirm ceiling height and allow working room around the pump for belt, head, and drain access. Electrical installation should be planned with a certified electrician, who can determine the appropriate breaker, conductors, and disconnect for the actual installation. If you're purchasing the machine for the extended warranty, the EWK-6 maintenance kit must be purchased at the same time and the compressor registered with Quincy to qualify for the stated 3-year No Bull warranty.
Why This One Is 460V
This 7.5 HP motor is built for 460V three-phase power. The higher supply voltage allows lower current than an equivalent motor at a lower voltage, which can simplify electrical installation, particularly on longer runs.
Quincy does not publish a fixed breaker size for this configuration. Have a qualified electrician determine the required overcurrent protection, conductors and disconnect based on the installation and local code.
A magnetic starter with thermal overload protection is included.
The Lubrication System
The QP Pro pump uses full pressure lubrication. A crankshaft-driven Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump supplies pressurized oil to the crankshaft, bearings and connecting rods.
Quincy states that this pressure-lubricated design can provide up to 15% longer life than a splash-lubricated unit. A spin-on oil filter helps remove contaminants from the oil circuit.
Pump, Valves & Cooling
The pump is belt-driven, two-stage and cast iron, with an aluminum head. Stainless-steel reed valves with valve bumpers control reed movement, while graphite cylinder and head gaskets provide sealing through normal operating temperature cycles.
Between stages, compressed air passes through a high-efficiency fin-and-tube intercooler. An electronically balanced, fan-type cast-iron flywheel provides cooling airflow across the intercooler, cylinders and heads.
The pump is rated to 175 PSI.
Will It Fit?
The 80-gallon vertical receiver requires a 37" × 24" footprint, stands 74" tall and weighs 720 lb.
Verify ceiling height, doorways and delivery access before ordering. Leave sufficient clearance around the pump and belt guard for inspection and service, with access to the tank drain.
Electrical supply, site preparation and permits are the customer's responsibility. Confirm that your facility has 460V three-phase service before ordering.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The manufacturer’s data lists ASME marking for the pressure vessel and CSA marking for the applicable electrical components. These address different requirements, and neither covers the compressor’s installation in your building.
Verify both markings on the machine’s data plate when it arrives. If your insurer, local code or corporate equipment standard requires a specific listing, confirm that requirement against the plate before installation.
Shipping & Delivery
Freight only within the lower 48 states. At 720 lb, the compressor ships on a pallet and requires a forklift, loading dock or prearranged carrier-terminal pickup. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Check the guards, receiver, bracing and pallet for damage or oil, and record any concerns on the bill of lading before the driver leaves.
Warranty
The 3-year “No Bull” warranty requires specific conditions, including purchasing the required EWK-6 maintenance kit with the compressor and registering the unit with Quincy. Handle both at the time of purchase and commissioning.
Keep the compressor and kit invoices together, and register the unit promptly. The warranty documentation supplied with the machine provides the complete terms.
