The Quincy QP Pro 7.5 HP is a two-stage, belt-driven compressor built around a Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump that delivers pressurized lubrication to the crankshaft, bearings, and connecting rods on every revolution. Unlike splash-lubricated compressors, this system provides a consistent oil supply during extended operation, with Quincy rating the design for up to 15% longer life. This version is wound for 208V three-phase power, making it the appropriate configuration for shops supplied by 208V service. It also features an 80-gallon vertical receiver and a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI.
The pressure-lubrication system is the main reason to choose the QP Pro. The Gerotor pump maintains oil flow as the compressor runs, while a spin-on oil filter continuously removes contaminants from the lubrication circuit. The two-stage cast-iron pump uses stainless steel reed valves with valve bumpers and graphite cylinder and head gaskets for durability through repeated heat cycles. A fin-and-tube intercooler reduces the temperature of compressed air between stages, improving compression efficiency and helping remove moisture before the air reaches the receiver. The electronically balanced cast-iron flywheel also provides the airflow needed for cooling while helping control vibration during operation.
This compressor is suited to independent repair shops, tire and alignment facilities, body shops, and other commercial operations that put their air equipment through long working cycles. The 80-gallon vertical receiver provides substantial air storage while keeping the floor footprint relatively compact at 37" × 24", although the 74" overall height and 720-lb weight require appropriate space and support. What Pressure Lubrication Adds
The QP Pro uses a pressure-lubrication system with a Gerotor positive-displacement oil pump and spin-on oil filter. Instead of relying on splash lubrication alone, the oil pump actively circulates oil through the system during operation.
The filter helps remove contaminants from the circulating oil, supporting consistent lubrication during extended compressor use.
The Pump, Valves & Gaskets
The pump is a two-stage, belt-driven cast-iron design with an aluminum head and a 175 PSI maximum rated pressure.
Stainless steel reed valves with valve bumpers are specified for the valve assembly, while graphite cylinder and head gaskets provide sealing through normal operating temperatures and pressure cycles.
Cooling Between Stages
A high-efficiency fin-and-tube intercooler sits between the two compression stages. The cast-iron, fan-type flywheel is electronically balanced and provides airflow across the cooling assembly.
Interstage cooling reduces the temperature of the air between compression stages and helps manage heat before the air reaches the receiver.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The manufacturer’s data lists ASME marking on the pressure vessel and a CSA marking. These serve different purposes: ASME relates to the receiver’s pressure-vessel construction and inspection, while CSA addresses applicable electrical and product-safety requirements.
Verify both markings on the machine’s data plate when it arrives. If a specific certification or listing is required by your lease, insurer or local code, confirm it before installation.
Shipping & Delivery
Freight to the lower 48. At 720 lbs, the compressor ships upright on a pallet and requires a forklift, loading dock or advance terminal pickup. Residential delivery carries an additional fee.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Check for damaged guards, signs of shifting or impact, and oil on the pallet. Photograph any damage and record it on the bill of lading while the driver is present.
Warranty
The standard warranty is 1 year, with coverage extending to Quincy’s 3-year “No Bull” warranty when the manufacturer’s conditions are met. These may include purchasing the required maintenance kit with the compressor and registering the unit with Quincy. Review the supplied warranty documentation and complete any requirements at purchase.
