The Quincy G15H8WQ is a portable, petrol-powered air compressor built around a commercial 5.5 HP Honda GX160 engine and a wheelbarrow-style frame. With an 8-gallon twin-tank setup, 9.5 CFM at 90 PSI, and a maximum pressure of 145 PSI, it brings compressed air directly to the jobsite without needing an electrical supply. The pneumatic wheel and grip handles make it practical for framing, roofing, fencing, and other outdoor work where power is unavailable or too far from the work area. Note: this is a 50% duty-cycle compressor designed for intermittent use, not continuous-duty applications.
The standout feature is automatic idle control. When no air is being used, the Honda engine drops to idle; when a pneumatic tool demands air, the engine increases speed to meet the load. For intermittent applications such as nailing, that can reduce fuel consumption, operating noise, and unnecessary engine hours over the course of a workday. The compressor pump is a slow-running 1,250 RPM, single-stage, belt-driven design with a cast-iron cylinder, crankshaft, and valve plate. Quincy rates the pump for 10,000 hours of life, while splash lubrication and an oil sight glass simplify routine maintenance. The Honda engine also includes low-oil shutdown.
This compressor is suited to mobile crews and outdoor contractors who need air where electrical power is unavailable or impractical. Framing, roofing, and fencing crews can take advantage of its intermittent-air capability, while contractors working on farms, yards, and exterior maintenance jobs benefit from having the compressor travel with them. The petrol engine means it must be operated outdoors or in genuinely open air, never inside an enclosed space. Its compact wheelbarrow configuration measures approximately 43" L × 18" W × 27" H, making it suited to transport between jobsites and through standard gates.
Auto Idle
The engine automatically drops to idle when air demand stops and increases speed when a tool needs air. For intermittent work, this can reduce unnecessary fuel use, noise and engine hours.
The Honda engine also includes low-oil shutdown. Pump oil level is checked through the pump's oil sight glass.
Slow-Speed Pump Design
The single-stage pump is belt-driven and splash-lubricated, with a cast-iron cylinder, crankshaft and valve plate. Quincy rates the pump for 10,000 hours of service life.
The pump runs at 1,250 RPM, providing a slow-speed design suited to portable jobsite use.
Air output is 9.5 CFM @ 90 PSI, with 145 PSI maximum pressure. The compressor has a 50% duty cycle, making it suited to intermittent-duty tools rather than continuous applications such as all-day sanding.
Built for the Jobsite
The top-mounted control panel includes two quick-connect outlets and a tank pressure gauge, allowing two users to connect directly.
The 8-gallon twin-tank receiver has individual drains. Drain the tanks regularly to help manage condensate buildup.
Approximate dimensions are 43" L × 18" W × 27" H. The specification record lists 550 lbs, but confirm the shipping weight before planning loading or unloading equipment.
Outdoor Use Only
This is a gasoline-powered compressor and must be operated outdoors or in a genuinely open, well-ventilated area. Never operate it in an enclosed space.
Perfect For
-
Framing, roofing and fencing crews — intermittent nailing is exactly the demand pattern auto idle suits.
-
Sites with no power yet, or where running a supply to the work is not practical.
-
Contractors who move daily and need the compressor to travel with the crew.
-
Outdoor work — yards, farms, exterior maintenance — where a stationary machine is no use at all.

Certification, Stated Plainly
The product data states that the tank includes safety valves built to the applicable American pressure-vessel standard. This is the only conformity claim recorded for this model.
No electrical or third-party safety approval is listed in the data we have. We will not assume one or imply that the tank certification covers the complete machine. If your site, insurer or rental agreement requires a specific approval or listing, confirm it with us before ordering.
Shipping & Receiving
Ships by palletized freight to the lower 48 states, with freight calculated live at checkout for your address.
Plan unloading in advance. The carrier delivers to the tailgate, so you will need suitable equipment to move the pallet. Because the listed weight should be confirmed before delivery, verify the shipping weight with us before planning your unloading method. Terminal pickup is also available. Residential delivery may include an additional fee.
Inspect the compressor before signing. Photograph the pallet and machine, and record any damage on the bill of lading with the driver present.
Warranty
This model includes a 1-Year standard limited warranty. It does not carry the extended warranty offered on some stationary QT Pro models, so do not assume a 3-year term. Review the warranty documentation for the applicable coverage and conditions.
The engine and compressor pump may have separate manufacturer warranty terms. If a problem occurs, contact us first so we can route the claim correctly.
